Longtime fans and newbies alike journey into the deepest, darkest regions of space as we review the British sci-fi comedy Red Dwarf, episode by episode.
Shane chats with “Red Dwarf Smegazine” comic strip writer Kev F. Sutherland about his experiences at the magazine, why he started doing “The Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre” and his brand new series adapting Shakespeare plays into comic books.
M-Corp proudly presents, The Red Dwarf Introcast, Season XII, Episode 5: M-Corp. Unfortunately, you must be an M-Corp subscriber to listen to this episode. All hail M-Corp.

About a year ago, we lost a good friend and frequent guest host, Fozzi Forrester. He was an amazing and lovely person, and he will be missed. What you are about to listen to is a lost recording of a show that Darren and I (Shane) used to do together called “Oh No You Didn’t,” where we talked about the worst in sci-fi and fantasy.
On this episode, we were joined by David Probert and Ian Wilson, and we talked about the worst two episodes of the British show “Blake’s 7.” This show was recorded four years ago, and until a few months ago, I thought it was lost.
Warning: There is a small amount of swearing in this show.
Let’s talk about “Hot Fuzz”! In this special episode – thought lost, but recently rediscovered – Heath, Angela, and Shane are joined by our good friend Darren (Fozzi) to talk about the second film in the Cornetto Trilogy, “Hot Fuzz”.
Folks, we’d like to ask you to keep Fozzi in mind. He’s been going through some difficult times with health issues, and we’re all very much hoping for a swift and full recovery for him.

Guest Sam Hyland zooms in with a brand new shiny red chassis to help us contemplate the point of existence as we break down Season XI, Episode 5: Krysis!
I’m afraid it’s “Officer’s only,” but your name is on the list as we review Season XI, episode 4 – “Officer Rimmer” – with a little help from Phaze Dout.
Heath and Angela are joined by Tim (who kindly filled in as Shane was sick with space mumps) and Gareth as everyone gives their take on “Give and Take,” episode 3 of Season XI.
Shane, Paul, Alan, Tim, and Gareth discuss Season XI and what they think Heath and Angela’s reactions will be, as Heath and Angela agreed to hold off on watching the new season so they could remain the “newbies” for the podcast.
Welcome to this special intro to Canada podcast where Shane traveled 3,500 miles to spend a week visiting Nutty and Tek. (Heath and Angela will be making the same trip this summer, so look forward to a possible Part 2!)
You will hear all about Shane’s adventures in Canada. What happens when Shane visits Tek at work? What is it like seeing Costco for the first time? What happens when Shane is introduced to rye whiskey? And just what did Shane buy at a certain dispensary store? Find the answers to all this and more on this podcast.
If you are ever in Toronto, Shane highly recommends that you go to Two Strikes Comedy Show at 945 Bloor Street W, Toronto. Further information can be found here:
We get the old gang back together for a Christmas special. Shane, Paul, Heath, and Angela revisit “Backwards” to see if we were perhaps a teensy bit harsh the first time around.

Longtime Red Dwarf fan Gareth Edwards (Highway to Mars) joins us for the last of our “bonus” episodes before we begin the novels. We take a look at the original unaired version of “The End” and the storyboard of “Dad.”

Shane was delving through his PC and found his original edit of our very first introcast episode “The End.” This was made before we had decided on many of the particulars of our show, and we thought it might make an interesting relic. Given that we are about to review Red Dwarf’s original unaired edit of its first episode, we thought it would be fun to release this now.
So, aside from the poor production, recall that we were foolishly unaware of Ganymede and Titan and unwittingly were calling our podcast that. Whoops! So enjoy the scratchy, echoey audio in all its newbtastic glory!
If you are just getting started with the podcast, you will likely enjoy our official release rather than this one, which we present mainly as an oddity two years later.

We continue on with the unaired episodes as Ian Symes (Ganymede and Titan) pops in for “Identity Within.” Again, Chris Barrie read the unproduced episode along with some pretty pictures.

So we’ve seen all the episodes that aired. But what about those that didn’t? Rosie (Aboard the Knight Bus) drops by for “Bodysnatcher,” a fun look at a script that didn’t get filmed but then got kind-of made in that Chris Barrie read it and there were some pretty pictures. Hang around after the closing music for an outtake.

As we have finished the proper Red Dwarf episodes, the podcast is moving forward with the unaired episodes and the novels. To get started, Shane chats with Ian, Darren, Rosie, and Jonathan about the upcoming episodes and what they predict Heath and Angela’s reactions will be.
Shane chats with Darren, James, Liz, Sam, Stephen, Rosie, and Jonathan about “Back to Earth” and Series X and what they predict Heath and Angela’s reactions will be.
This is “The Beginning.” The final episode of Red Dwarf X. Thank you all for listening and taking this journey with us. Alex, James (TORDFC, Gazpacho Soup, First Contact), and Seb (The Red Dwarf Website) laugh along with us this episode.
Keep in mind we’re not quite done. A few special eps to go. But this marks a very special moment for us. The slime has finally made it home. *single tear*

It’s been a long time coming, but we finally got there. Angela, Heath, and Elphie the PodCat record a commentary of their first viewing of the final (so far) episode of Red Dwarf: “The Beginning”. Sorry if there are quiet spots. It’s a pretty intense episode. It was hard to talk and watch at the same time.
We sing along with the theme song to help you synch, and give random indicators of what’s going on.

Heath and Angela received a lovely present from Rosie (Know This) in the form of a collection of British candy and a season of Red Dwarf. Thanks again, Rosie!

For this Christmas special, we review “Shaun of the Dead,” turning the tables on Shane as he is the newbie. Darren “Fozzie” Forrester joins in the fun.
(Seriously, given that Shane is an Englishman in Cirencester, and Heath and Angela are Americans in Alabama, how bizarre is it that Shane had never seen any films in Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg’s Cornetto trilogy and they had?)
It’s double the guests as Ian Symes (Ganymede and Titan) and Rosie (Aboard the Knight Bus) talk us through “Back to Earth (part 2).” In this super classy episode, we mention “spaceginas” and the uselessness of half a condom. Also, Angela makes a “That’s what she said” joke.

James (Gazpacho Soup, First Contact) drops by again to help us ring in Season 9 with “Back to Earth, Part 1.” Also, Paul is back. (Yay!) Join us as we talking about Reading Rainbow, Doctor Who, Peepshow, Star Trek, and (oh yeah) RED DWARF’S RETURN! Also, is Danny John-Jules a vampire?

Honestly, there’s not much of a Red Dwarf link here, but when you get the chance to have a short interview with musical comedy superduo Paul and Storm, you do it!
We talk about Red Dwarf, aliens, possible apocalypse plans, and their successful kickstarter for their album, Ball Pit. These guys are talented and hilarious, and we were glad to get a chance to talk with them.
Nick Quinn takes some time off from rocking the drums to join us as we once again review some random thing based on a tenuous connection to Red Dwarf. In this case, Craig Charles lends his renowned reporter credentials to the BBC “Ghostwatch” special.
Basically, Shane enjoys delving into his favorite television program of all time as Heath and Angela try to figure out what the heck they are watching.
